Diving

As a certified diver you can enjoy a wide variety of local dive sites including the famous turtle reef, Mama Viña wreck, beautiful deep dives, colourful shallow reefs, and much more. If you are up for a little excursion we also offer dive trips to Cozumel or the Cenotes, two major diving attractions along the Riviera Maya.
If you are not certified yet and would like to try out how it feels to breath under water, or would like to take a certification course, we offer a wide range of courses for beginners and advanced divers.

The type of dives along Playa del Carmen are drift dives which allow divers to admire the beautiful flora and fauna on our superb reefs in a very effortless and relaxing way because you simply glide with the current and feel the rush of flying under the water.
Our two-tank morning trip leaves at 8:30 right in front of the shop on the beach, returning at 12:00 taking you for two beautiful dives, coming back on time for lunch and some holiday sun. For those who would like to start with an easy shallow dive we have the afternoon trip leaving at 13:00 returning at 16:00.
Trips include drinks on the boat, multi-lingual guide and a guaranteed smile upon return!!

Cozumel and Cozumel Express

Cozumel is well-known as a first class dive destination. With over 15 different reefs to choose from, scuba diving in Cozumel is an exhilarating experience, appealing to the beginner and advanced diver alike.

Cenotes

The Cenote's caves, caverns and underground lakes located in the middle of the Mexican jungle contain extraordinary stalactites, stalagmites and exotic rock formations that can easily make you think that you are somewhere in outer space. Although it may vary depending on weather conditions, most Cenotes have an outstanding visibility up to 100m/300ft, and their water temperature is around 26ºC/78ºF.

Scuba Libre has been running PADI certification programs since its beginning. Our variety of courses appeals to divers of all levels, and are personalized to each client within the PADI guidelines. Naturally, we are happy to do referral training.
